At first, I was annoyed. My kinetic energy of 41 years propelled me forward. It was uncomfortable to slow down, awkward, and took a hell of a lot of effort. I repeat: Slowing down took SO MUCH EFFORT. I often speak to this in my classes - how can we be still when we don't practice stillness? How can we be present when we don't practice presence?
Instead we go, scroll, talk, listen, eat, sleep, get, do, achieve.
When do we SEE, when do we BREATHE, when do we simply practice BEING?
